Note that the New York State Dept. of Environmental Conservation has changed the format and submission process for the MS4 Annual Report. The old days of printing the report and sending hard copies to the DEC are gone. Everything is now done on-line!
I was looking at the MS4 annual report for 2022–2023, and it’s interesting how much detail goes into tracking stormwater management and compliance, even down to specific inspection results and maintenance activities. It makes me think about how much behind-the-scenes work is needed to keep systems running smoothly, even if most people never notice it day to day.
I wonder how residents might use this information or if it mostly just sits online for transparency’s sake.
